Continuing Education
Class Catalog - Calendar/Register
Education is central to our ability to provide quality care to our patients and family.
Continuing education programs to foster professional development and clinical expertise are offered on an ongoing basis.
Following the “Novice to Expert” approach, educational programs are offered at several educational levels:
- Competency assessment and orientation
- Intermediate programs like ECG interpretation, preceptor and charge nurse training
- Advanced programs like advanced pacemaker therapy, advanced neuro topics, bone marrow transplant, pediatric cardiac surgery, high risk obstetrics and several specialty certification review courses
Continuing education at UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Children’s Hospital is not restricted to the classroom setting. As an academic medical center, our nurses work as colleagues with faculty distinguished in their fields.
Continuing Education Credit: Courses as indicated are provider approved for Continuing Education Credit by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP 12980) and the Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE 2088). Certificates are issued upon completion of the course and registration requirements.
