What is The Joint Commission?

The Joint Commission (TJC) is a regulatory body responsible for accrediting the Medical Center, including:

  • the hospital

  • laboratories and Point-of-Care-Testing (POCT) program

  • home care program

  • all ambulatory practices

{Note exception: The main clinical laboratories are surveyed by CAP, the College of American Pathologists.)
