Clinical Excellence

UCSF supports excellence in practice in many ways. Our Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Educators provide advanced practice support to staff and model clinical excellence at the bedside. Our affiliation with the Center for Research and Innovation in Patient Care and Evidence-Based Fellows Program also support clinical excellence by linking research directly to clinical care. In addition to these examples, the programs described here illustrate how bedside staff nurses are involved in building clinical excellence into their practices and diffusing best practices throughout their units in specialized areas of interest.
